In the initial stage of the establishment, simple geological survey of the historical remains in the region of Daejeon was executed with the Literary Research Center playing the key role. That is, beginning with the geological surveying of the group of ancient tombs in Jusan-dong, Dong-gu, Daejeon City, cluster of ancient tombs of the Era of the Three States scattered in the submerged regions of Unmun Dam in Cheongdo-gu, Gyeongsangbuk-do was excavated and examined over the period of September 1, 1993 to January 11, 1994. With the completion of the construction for the main building of the Museum in November 1994, Office of the Director of the Museum, Literary Research Center, Collection Warehouse, Material Organization Room and Exhibition Hall was established on the 3rd floor of the newly constructed building in March 1995. Accordingly, the Museum is currently preserving and managing historical materials along with school history materials.
